Mark your calendars – ADA Live! Episode 14: Service Animals. This month’s guest speaker is Rebecca Williams, Information Specialist - Training and Technical Assistance for the Southeast ADA Center, and the host is Cheri Hofmann, Distance Learning Coordinator for the Southeast ADA Center. In this episode, we will discuss: What is the definition of a service animal? Is a service animal the same as a companion animal, psychiatric animal or therapy pet? Does a business have to serve a customer who has two service animals? We will discuss some of the issues involving access for individuals with disabilities using service animals in places of business and in housing. A Resource Sheet for learning more about service animals will also be posted after the broadcast on www.adalive.org.
