Community Resources for Independent Living (CRIL) and the City of Hayward, CA are teaming up to host the Road to Freedom bus at Hayward City Hall Plaza, 777 B Street, Hayward, CA 94541, on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, The event is accessible by BART (Hayward station) and AC Transit. Free parking is available across the street.
The event will feature a 4-panel display on the history of self-advocacy courtesy of the Museum of disAbility History; the ADA Legacy Project's disability history display; informative handouts; proclamations and presentations by Hayward Mayor Barbara Halliday and Congressman Eric Swalwell; and disability history presentations by CRIL youth advocates.
